A Rusical, or Lip Sync Extravaganza, is a challenge combining lip syncing or singing live and dancing. Some of these challenges were called Rusical by name, but it can also refer to any challenge where the contestants have to lip sync, sing live, and/or dance as part of the main challenge.
Although the contestants may be asked to record or sing their sections of the Rusical live, this challenge is not to be confused with the Singing Challenge where the contestants are typically asked to write their section as well as record or sing live.

Episode 4: Shade: The Rusical
In this episode, the queens were tasked to take part in "Shade: The Rusical". Courtney Act, Adore Delano and BenDeLaCreme received positive critiques for their portrayals of Good Penny, Bad Penny and Shady Lady respectively, with Courtney Act winning the challenge. Milk, Laganja Estranja, Gia Gunn, Joslyn Fox and Bianca Del Rio were declared safe. Trinity K. Bonet, April Carrión and Darienne Lake received negative critiques for their portrayals of Pageant Queen 1, Bertha and Comedy Queen 1 respectively. Trinity K. Bonet and April Carrión had to lip sync to 'I’m Every Woman' by Chaka Khan. Trinity won the lip sync, and April was sent home.

In this episode, the queens were tasked to take part in 'Glamazonian Airways'. Ginger Minj, Violet Chachki and Mrs. Kasha Davis received positive critiques with Ginger being declared the winner of the challenge. Pearl, Kennedy Davenport, Jaidynn Diore Fierce, Max, Kandy Ho, Trixie Mattel and Jasmine Masters were all declared safe. Katya, Sasha Belle and Miss Fame received negative critiques with Katya and Sasha being placed in the bottom. Katya won the lip sync, and Sasha Belle was sent home.

Kim Chi, Dax Exclamationpoint and Laila McQueen received negative critiques, with Dax and Laila being placed in the bottom two of the week. For the second time in Drag Race herstory, both Dax and Laila were eliminated in a double elimination.

This episode the queens were tasked to take part in 'Reality Stars: The Musical'. Shea Couleé, Peppermint and Alexis Michelle all received positive critiques for their portrayals of Blac Chyna, Britney Spears and Kris Jenner respectively, with Shea being declared the winner of the challenge. Aja, Trinity Taylor, Sasha Velour, Eureka and Valentina are declared safe. This leaves Nina Bonina Brown, Farrah Moan and Cynthia Lee Fontaine in the bottom for their portrayals of Khloe Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian. Farrah and Cynthia had to lip-sync to 'Woman Up' by Meghan Trainor. However, Eureka was forced to leave the competition under medical grounds, so both Farrah and Cynthia stayed.
