Skandalove

Skandalove (also spelled as Skanda Love)[3] is an Italian drag performer and one of the contestants of the second season of Drag Race Italia.

Drag Name Origin[]

Skandalove initially came up with the name "Sandra Love" along with another drag queen while she was in Rome but later found out that a DJ already used the name, so she decided to take out the "r", but she didn't like "Sanda Love" sounding like "sandalo" (Italian for "sandal"), and then she ultimately landed on "Skandalove", as a pun on the word "scandalo" (Italian for "scandal").[3]

  • Skandalove is the first contestant in the Drag Race franchise to place safe for five consecutive episodes. She would later be followed by Morphine Love Dion and Xunami Muse.
    • Xunami would later go on to place safe for a sixth consecutive episode, beating Skandalove's record.
  • Skandalove is the fifth queen in franchise to be called first after the lip sync, but be eliminated, after Mimi Imfurst, Alisa Summers, Obama and Panthera Virus.
