The Pit Stop is the official aftershow for RuPaul's Drag Race (Seasons 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16), RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars (Seasons 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8), and Canada's Drag Race (Season 1). The show involves two people, a host and a guest (usually two previous competitors from Drag Race) in which they discuss the events of the episode. The name of the show is a pun on the pit area used during the car race where drivers can go and get refuelled, new tires, etc. during the race.
Season 8's Pit Stop was hosted by YouTuber Kingsley, All Stars 2, Season 9 and Season 10's by Raja, All Stars 3's by Alaska, All Stars 4, Canada's Drag Race, Season 13, All Stars 6, Season 16, and All Stars 9's by Trixie Mattel, Season 11's (and All Stars 4's finale) by Manila Luzon, Season 12 and All Stars 5 and 7's (and Season 9 and 10 and All Stars 9's finales) by Bob The Drag Queen, Season 14's by Monét X Change and Season 15 and All Stars 8's by Bianca Del Rio. The first three seasons aired on Logo's YouTube channel before switching to VH1's YouTube channel starting with All Stars 3.

Trivia[]
- During Season 12's The Pit Stop Bob The Drag Queen wore the same houndstooth fabric pattern in different outfits, while during All Stars 5's The Pit Stop she wore looks themed around the colours of the rainbow pride flag.
- On social media Bob has often joked that other queens and celebrities wearing houndstooth are stealing her look. During Bob's appearance on The Pit Stop for Season 13's Snatch Game, Trixie Mattel wore a houndstooth dress (which was the same dress Bob wore for Episode 4 of Season 12's Pit Stop) sent to her by Bob and joked that it was her look now.
- With the exception of Detox and Jujubee, all guest queens featured on Season 12's The Pit Stop are from New York.
- With the exception of Jaida Essence Hall, Mo Heart, and Monét X Change, all guests featured on Season 16's The Pit Stop, including Brittany Broski and Orville Peck, are first-time guests.
- Nicole Byer, TS Madison, Joel Kim Booster, Orville Peck, and Ali Wong are among the guest (or in Nicole's and TS's cases, alternating) judges who have appeared on The Pit Stop.
- Nicole has appeared twice on The Pit Stop; coincidentally, it is for two All Stars seasons: All Stars 6 and All Stars 7.

- Ali was a guest judge for Season 15's stand-up episode, but later appeared in All Stars 9's Pit Stop to discuss the roast episode.
- Due to the pandemic of COVID-19, episodes of The Pit Stop had to be filmed via video conference.
- The latter half of Season 12, the entirety of All Stars 5 and Canada's Drag Race Season 1, and select episodes of Season 13 had to be filmed via video conference. The first episode of the series to be socially-distant filmed was Season 12 episode 7, with Aja as the guest.
- The Pit Stop for Season 13 had Trixie in the studio with the guest on a screen. The exceptions to this are Episodes 3 and 4, when Trixie was at home on zoom with Priyanka and Jaida Essence Hall respectively; Episode 11, where BenDeLaCreme, who was presumably close enough to the studio to go in and was socially distanced from Trixie; and Episode 16, where Katya, who is a part of Trixie's quarantine pod, was socially distanced from Trixie.
- Season 12 Episode 11 was labelled as a mothers day special, this was because it was released on mothers day weekend and the host, Bob The Drag Queen, was joined by her drag daughter, Miz Cracker.
- For All Stars 5 all the guest queens invited for The Pit Stop were winners of a season of Drag Race.
- So far the only queens to host more than three seasons of The Pit Stop are Raja (All Stars 2, Season 9 and Season 10), Trixie Mattel (All Stars 4, Canada Season 1, Season 13, All Stars 6, Season 16, and All Stars 9) and Bob The Drag Queen (Season 12, All Stars 5 and All Stars 7).

- Laganja Estranja is the most frequent Pit Stop guest, having made 9 appearances to date; the queen with the second most appearances is Delta Work who has made 7 appearances.
- Season 13 queen Tina Burner is the first queen to appear on The Pit Stop (or an equivalent after-show) before appearing on RuPaul's Drag Race - she appeared in High Tea (the UK's Pit Stop equivalent) for the first episode of UK Season 1.
- Brooke Lynn Hytes became the first judge to be on The Pit Stop after being a guest on the finale recap of Canada Season 1.

- Trixie and Jaymes did product placements and live demonstrations for göt2b's Color-Remix for two special recap Pit Stop episodes (one mid-season and one post-season) for Season 16.
- High Tea is the only season to not feature a queen from Drag Race.
- Tina Burner was a guest on High Tea prior to competing on Drag Race.
- Manila Luzon is the only Pit Stop host from Drag Race who isn’t a winner on their season.
- Barring Kingsley, every Pit Stop host so far made at least one appearance on the show as a guest before they took up hosting duties.
