Traci Melchor is a Canadian television personality, who currently works as a senior correspondent for CTV's entertainment magazine series etalk. Melchor is also the former co-host of CTV's The Social.

In 2020 Traci began appearing as 'Canada's Squirrel Friend' on the first season of Canada's Drag Race, making recurring appearances to assist the queens with mini challenges or interview them, like she did in the Snatch Game. She also guest hosted the season finale episode.

On June 29th, 2021, it was announced that Traci would be a permanent rotating judge on Season 2, rotating with actress Amanda Brugel. After Amanda's departure, Traci became a permanent judge on the panel.


Originally from Pickering, Ontario, Melchor studied radio and television broadcasting at Seneca College. She joined CHUM Limited as an entertainment reporter for Citytv, later becoming a cohost of MuchMusic's RapCity. She moved to Los Angeles becoming an entertainment reporter and host for E! and taking acting roles in a number of television series, before taking a new role with MuchMusic's sister station MuchMoreMusic.

In 2008, Melchor joined CTV's etalk.

In 2019, Melchor was announced as participating in Canada's Drag Race, the Canadian spin-off edition of RuPaul's Drag Race as ‘Canada’s Squirrel Friend’.

She also regularly contributes to The Marilyn Denis Show, CP24 Breakfast, CTV News and Toronto's CHUM-FM.


  • Traci and Amanda Brugel are the first pair of rotating judges in the Drag Race franchise to both be women.
